From time-to-time, we come across some seriously epic fails. The best fails are those that make you think “what the hell was that guy thinking”?!? While we haven’t posted any fails on MotorFantics yet, I found the fail of all fails today and I knew it just had to go in the blog. Who knows, if I find enough of these things, maybe we’ll make it a regular occurrence. So, what did I find that could possibly be this good?
On eBay right now for another two days is what you get when you cross a Pontiac Fiero with a Harley Davidson. Impossible you say? Absolutely not, and here’s proof. Reading the auction, It’s clear the guy selling it (ego much?) has no idea how this thing is really built. For all he knows, it could be held together with chewing gum, paper clips and duct tape. The thing that’s apparent though is that he actually thinks it’s cool (and thus a fanatic, so he’s cool with us). This motor vehicle (trike the seller calls it) also becomes a fun game of “I spy”. I counted 6 horns and 16 lights from semi trucks, dual exhaust, trailer hitch, a bumper from what looks to be an early Beetle and enough diamond plating to cover half the state of Rhode Island. The wing (made out of the Fiero’s hood) while adding the flight capability and a gazillion horsepower probably weights 200 lbs alone. What else do you see that I missed?
The best part, it could be yours. With the auction only at 700 bucks as of writing this, this marvelous piece of automotive engineering and creativity could be yours at an affordable price. While I bet the reserve is in the stratosphere (for what it is), I know I added it to my watch list to see how high the bidding goes. Wow, what a great inaugural fail post. I had so much fun writing this that I think I’m going to make it a weekly thing.
