We started MotorFanatics because we’re frustrated.  We’re two professional car guys frustrated with existing auto websites full of boring hosts, dull content you can find on any other website, and we’re mainly frustrated with websites underselling the beauty and culture of cars and their owners.  We really thought there should be a place full of awesome media rich content that for a change, revolves around drivers and their cars.  We’re sick of watching some doofus auto writer spew his adjective rich jargon about a car that he clearly couldn’t give a rat’s ass about.  WHO CARES!?! we thought.  Face it, you watch car porn for a tight soundtrack, slick editing, and to get a taste of a world you can only dream of.  We know, we’re there too.  And that’s why we’re here now.

It’s our hope that MotorFanatics will soon become your favorite auto spot on the web.  A user-centric place where you’ll find your new favorite wallpaper, a place where you’ll make friends (maybe enemies, but we hope not), but most importantly, a place where you can spend hours of your time indulging your want and need for cool car media. If you’re reading this as our first post, I implore you to bookmark MotorFantics right now, and check back frequently.  You’re getting in on the ground level…and soon you’ll see all these cool features develop and grow.

Now, to get things kicked off, Dan and I would like to ask for some help.  If you’re in the Southern California area and you’ve got a ride that you pour your blood sweat and tears into, we’d love to meet with you.  As I said, our videos and photos are going to be focused on YOU, and this is the how we start.  We’ll also be cruising around local car shows, so you never know when we’ll pop up, but if you’d like to get started now, post a comment to the thread with your contact info, and we’ll get in touch.
