Well, its official. Ford has decided that the FiestaMovement/MotorFanatics relationship isn’t going any further. We knew this was coming, no phone calls, no emails…we were in denial, but the thing is, Ford didn’t really break up with us, because we weren’t ever really together. We can sit here and evaluate the quality of our application video, (see it again here)…did they think we were too aggressive? maybe too sensitive? Maybe we just came on too strong…..I guess we’ll never know. But this won’t be the last time we lock eyes the little Ford, oh no, we’ll surely see the Fiesta again, and it’ll be awkward at first, but we’ll be ok. Who knows, we may first see her again from the drivers seat of a Karma….or that orange GT3RS that Chris seems to think has been giving him the eye..we’ll see. We wish the FiestaMovement well, and hope they have a safe trip, and totally enjoy this summer……..without us. Now where are the keys to that ZR1 out front?
THE FIESTA HAS LEFT THE BUILDING
Ford Fiesta Drive!!!
Dan called me this morning from Coffee and Cars all excited that a new Fiesta was there (he snapped some pics here). While I was certainly excited, I knew that my experience with the Fiesta today would be much more exciting. See, I knew that Ford was making the Fiesta available to the public today, and there was no question as to how I was going to spend my Saturday. Battling traffic down to Anaheim, Deanna and I spent a good 2 hours or so putting through the city down to FocuSport. Upon arrival though, it was apparent that it was certainly worth the wait. The maroon little beast was simply incredible in person…pictures DO NOT do the styling of the Fiesta justice (I took a few, just for good measure though). It was the interior though that was the highlight for me. Read the rest of this entry »
Our Entry to the Fiesta Movement is Complete!
So back when the idea for MotorFanatics was in its hypothetical spit balling over beers state, I stumbled across a little program Ford was putting on called the Fiesta Movement. Apparently, Ford is looking for some people to drive around Fiesta’s before they’re even available…taking them on missions, and blogging about their shenanigans to the general public. Having just watched Jeremy Clarkson blast a Fiesta through a mall being chased by a Corvette on Top Gear (best show ever BTW), I was STOKED on Ford’s new little wonder car and brought it up to Dan. Immediately, we knew we had to be all-in on this.
All we needed was a video. A video! How could the contest possibly be any more perfect for us? Dan suggested a fight scene for fun, and I knew it would be an angle that most wouldn’t take. A fight scene, wrapped with our brand of car media, sprinkled with our beautiful mugs yammering about how awesome we are makes for a video experience only MotorFanatics could bring. Follow this link to check it out on our site, and if you would be so kind to hit up our YouTube channel here and rate the video, hopefully you’ll be seeing us in a Fiesta! A bright green manual would be our preference, but we’re not picky.
