(Skyline) Front subframe assembly is a big step towards a rolling chassis. For a R34 Skyline with GTT knuckles that means the subframe itself, power steering, upper and lower control arms, tension arms, sway bar, sway bar linkage, coil overs and of course the knuckles themself. That are a lot of parts to lose. So it is no surprise that in preparation for this episode we had to sort a lot of nuts, bolts and screws to find the ones we need.
Luckily our order from ALPHA OMEGA RACING arrived far ahead of our schedule. Because of that we already could mount our “fighter jet grade” billet aluminum brake caliper adapter set. Along with it we ordered braided brake hoses as well. Which takes us to our next problem, removing the old brake hoses. But you’ll see that in our video.
Unfortunately we are still waiting for a few parts with a long lead time. That’s why only assembled it as far as you can see in our video. You can find the video about our problematic Skyline front subframe assembly right here.
